HSCP Executive Board

The Executive Board is made up of three representatives from each organisation within the Hull Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP). They are –

  • Director of Children, Young People and Family Services (Hull City Council)
  • Chief Superintendent North Bank Command (Humberside Police)
  • Director of Nursing and Quality Assurance NL CCG and Executive Lead for Safeguarding for Hull CCG (NHS Hull CCG)

All three safeguarding partners have equal and joint responsibility for local safeguarding arrangements. The Executive Board has full delegated authority from their agency to:

  • Speak with authority for the safeguarding partner they represent
  • Take decisions on behalf of their organisation or agency and commit them on policy, resourcing and practice matters
  • Hold their own organisation or agency to account on how effectively they participate and implement the local arrangements

Safeguarding partners will agree on ways to co-ordinate their safeguarding services, act as a strategic leadership group in supporting and engaging others and implement local and national learning including from serious child safeguarding incidents. To fulfil this role, the safeguarding partners must set out how they will work together with any relevant agencies.
