Welcome to the Hull Safeguarding Children Partnership (website under development) The Hull Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) (website under development) is the statutory body that brings together all the key partners and organisations who work together to promote children’s welfare and help protect them from abuse. This website provides information, advice and guidance to the public, children, parents and carers, and professionals working with children and young people.

Threshold of Need framework and guidance

Following multi agency consultation with the HSCP revised Threshold of Need framework and guidance has been published today (Friday 4 May 2018).The guidance has been designed to assist all whose work brings them into contact with children, young people and their families (including an unborn child) to identify the most appropriate level of support required to ensure that children are kept safe and grow up in circumstances that allow them to achieve their best outcomes.

Resolving Inter-agency Disagreements Guidance (Escalation Policy)

The Hull Safeguarding Children Partnership Resolving Inter-agency Disagreements Guidance (Escalation Policy) has now been published. The guidance is designed to help and support all practitioners working with children, young people and families by providing a clear mechanism for the timely resolution of inter agency disagreements in the best interest of children and families. It is designed to support existing individual agency procedures and escalation policies and should be used in conjunction with Hull Safeguarding Children Partnership Guidelines and Procedures.

Website for professionals working with children of offenders

Barnardo’s has launched the National Information Centre on Children of Offenders (NICCO), which replaces i-HOP. The website provides resources, information on services, policy developments, events, training opportunities and practice models to professionals who come into contact with the children and families of offenders in England and Wales, as well as academics and those responsible for strategic development and commissioning.
